All I read for a week+ was “go in blind” “go see this before it gets spoiled” etc. I’m not sure what there is to spoil. I didn’t see the trailer but I was aware of the general premise. It plays out that premise just as most would expect. There is no surprises or reveals or twists. It’s another “fuck around and find out” with technology story. I like it but I’m not bowled over like so many others. It’s a fun movie and worth recommending. I’m just not sure how it can be spoiled other than just knowing the precise plot beats, which I guess would be spoilery.
I’m not a big Sophie Thatcher fan but she really hasn’t done a whole lot yet, to be fair. She’s fine here. I like Lukas Gage a lot. Bigtime impressed with Rupert Friend yet again. He’s terrific in a small but significant role.

I guess the overarching theme of “humans are just shitty and will always be shitty regardless of whatever new tech is introduced” is probably the tiresome aspect of this that I didn’t care much for primarily bc we’ve seen it so many times already. I get it. Make a companion robot and people will abuse it bc people are assholes. So I didn’t need that throughline of the story but would there be a story without it?
