WOW finally reached a Japanese short film creator that hits the right notes for my tastes. I love this! It brings together different influences from 20th century modern art that I really like. Like surreal children’s book art mixed with Picasso, De Kooning, and Klee. Others too incl. the obvious Dali influences. I would have never guessed this short was produced in 2008.

TIL Keiichi Tanaami passed away last year in August. Noting bc only yesterday I learned that Yôji Kuri passed away last November. Two prolific Japanese experimental short film creators gone in the same year.
