viewing this on DVD immediately after watching the previous film on BD was something. DVD looks like watching a movie on Hoopla or Kanopy, standard def PQ only. Ugh not good. I probably will pick up the BD if I can find it cheap. the DVD I got for a dollar on sale at Big Lots. So it can go and the BD will be nice. Def a movie I would watch again and would grow on me like the first BoB movie.
Once you understand how this is all going to go down it works better. Instantly you understand this to be a prequel to the first movie, which I suspected might be the case before viewing. But oddly ends in such a way that doesn’t quite match what should follow. Anyways, I like this movie, the action and the cool badass women (esp. Master Ding and Chong’er).
