Viewing Notes

Solid entry in the Warner Oland run of Chan serials. The cruise to Hawaii is such a long portion of the movie that could’ve called it Charlie Chan on a Cruise. I know there’s a Murder Cruise movie from 1940 but they easily could’ve done more of them.

There’s a great explosion at the end to distract the bad guys. And Chan uses the phrase “hunky dory” which I can’t recall hearing so early in cinema.
