One of Jackie Chan’s lower rated early films (pre-comedy, pre-eye surgery). Has a 5.5/10 on IMDb. I like the movie, ofc, and it’s great to see Nora Miao here since she also starred with Bruce Lee in Fist of Fury, four years prior. Somehow, she looks younger in this?? Anyways, love seeing her.
Viewed the 83 minute recut from 1980. So I will give the 120 minute a spin next. Wanted to see how the story goes with the shorter cut not having seen it. It’s the same old “the Japanese suck so we must defeat them” chestnut that was so prevalent in HK / Taiwanese action films at that time.
