Entertaining as billed but wouldn’t put this in the top 5 Yuen Biao action films, as I heard on the GGTM podcast. Biao is certainly charming and terrific here but this is much less action and more sports prowess. I do like Dick Wei as the big bad, and Moon Lee is always a delight even when she wasn’t given much to do in these early roles (also she completely disappears in the second half).
Neat to see Eddy Ko again in a small role as Biao’s father. That character’s backstory is great! Overall a very fun time yet very silly.
