Viewing Notes

Saturday morning cartoon: poor kid takes in a stray cat but the mean chef does not abide. He places the cat in a bag to throw it in the river! Guess that was a thing. A Duke arrives and has a mice problem so he hires the cat to get rid of the mice. Instead the mice torment the cat until its nine lives appear in spirit form and drive the mice into the river. The cat becomes a hero and returns to the shack where the chef is beating the young poor boy (!!).

Another Ub Iwerks cartoon following Humpty Dumpty which I just watched.

TIL Dick Whittington and his Cat is a real story (not a true story) in literature that was adapted into a few feature films. And this cartoon.
