Viewing Notes

Had the movie been car battles for most of the runtime I’d enjoy this more. There’s really only two sequences I enjoyed. Maybe one more that also involves a car chase. The restaurant brawl is a lot fun and movie needed more of that energy and those antics. Plus Yasuaki Kurata is in the cast they don’t do anything with his character. Why bother casting him?

Too much tongue in cheek, slapstick humor and goofy interactions. Eric Tsang found a way to put himself in the movie but he really didn’t need to. Fortunately it’s a small cameo. Some stunts are cool but the whole killer robot thing didn’t do it for me, as much as I love seeing old robot toys.
