Mike Sullivan works as a hit man for crime boss John Rooney. Sullivan views Rooney as a father figure, however after his son is witness to a killing, Mike Sullivan finds himself on the run in attempt to save the life of his son and at the same time looking for revenge on those who wronged him.

My dad’s birthday so I wanted to revisit a movie I saw with him. I haven’t seen this since that viewing (we saw it in the theater). Forgot a lot of it including Daniel Craig being in the movie but he wasn’t even close to being Bond at the time so he wasn’t on my radar.
The thing I remember the most is after the movie was over, the first thing my dad said was “ your mother wouldn’t like that one!” (Because of the violence)
This is such a dad movie too. Besides it being set where my dad grew up, the period and father / son relationship probably affected him. I’m sure he recalled when he learned how to drive a stick then teaching me how to drive a stick. I remember when just my dad and I went on a trip to Wisconsin Dells. Not sure why we did that but this movie reminded me of that trip.
This would be a lowkey fun location tour in the Midwest.
