Spiritual sequel to the Dollars trilogy when a Man with No Name “Preacher” shows up and helps a group of gold prospectors against LaHood and his dipshit cronies (then the evil Marshal and his deputies). Ofc Preacher has a mysterious backstory we never get because we already know. Easy to fill in the blanks.

Probably 30+ years since I’ve seen this so only recalled a few moments like the Richard Kiel scene. Neat to see Michael Moriarty in the second leading role. Chris Penn is great. Billy Drago in a small role as one of the deputies was cool. 

Amusing that Eastwood directed what is such a simple story with really no threat to his character. It plays out just like you expect it to and that’s fine. Zero challenge for Preacher just the ultimate badass. Eastwood, “yeah I’ll direct and star in that!” Haha
