Viewing Notes

RIP Joe Don Baker

(RIP to nearly everyone in this movie)

Maybe they still make movies like this on the indie scene but they really don’t make movies like this anymore (in Hollywood). Everybody and everything looks and feels so real and lived in. I give it a small bump because it reminds me of my childhood and the long family vacations we’d take out west. We would go to rodeos and visit small towns loaded with patriotism. This movie captures a lot of that.

JDB is good here but should’ve been given more to do. His character is great.
