Legendary director Chang Cheh teamed his latest big star, Alexander Fu Sheng, with future Venoms Lo Meng and Kuo Chue to create another winner in his vaunted filmography. Joining them were the top supporting actors and the prettiest starlets, for an entertaining, exciting tale of a kung-fu blacksmith taking on four famous robbers while a villainous gambling boss plots to destroy them.

Needed a comfort viewing after that shitty loss to the Cards. Ten years since my last watch so yeah it was a good revisit.
Kara Wai gets a decent amount of screentime for being a secondary character (daughter of Ku Feng’s police chief). Great to see the Venom Mob just having fun in these roles ‘cept Chiang Sheng, who gets killed off earlier than the rest, very silly, too. Plus honorary Venom Fu Sheng is great as the almost lazy knife thrower.
