Viewing Notes

Sunday night at the movies:

A Very Good Revisit + long overdue revisit

Not at all how I remembered this so I’m glad to rewatch. Love this period of Donnie Yen when he was still proving himself yet on the cusp of breaking it big. The three main women are beautiful in different ways, dirty to elegant to badass.

So many limbs dismembered and decapitations to set up the bad guys, who are so bad you want to see them destroyed. Much better than I recall and one I want to watch again to pick up more of the story. Has fantasy / mystic elements but not overused, which is nice.
