Steve logged this and when I saw it featured Babe Ruth I had to check it out. Really fascinated by Ruth and how he was persuaded to appear in films like this.
Here he regales these songwriters with his famous called home run against the Cubs in the 1932 World Series. So they compose a song and Ruth later performs it. So of course I like this short film but it’s so goofy.
What I really like is Ruth owning the story which I’ve heard in recent years was complete hogwash. So this short film lends more credence that it really did happen.
