Bonus Sunday Afternoon Serial: decides to watch another Phil Karlson serial after Shanghai Cobra in hopes it would be as good. Sadly it’s not. The serials for The Shadow don’t work for me. Perhaps it’s how I know character from the comics that makes this film interpretation unpleasant.

Too jokey. Too silly. Too goofy. None of the pulp or mystery or scary.
