Sometimes I watch short films, esp. the experimental shorts by regarded filmmakers and wonder if they’re really just taking a piss and screwing with their expected audience. Like Picasso when he’d scribble on a napkin and sell it for $1000. Ofc Lynch is infamous for his silly short films most of which were removed from TMDb and I think in most cases he’s earnest and thinks the subject matter is interesting bc that’s who he is. (was)
But he (and others like him) could totally go Metal Machine Music just to fuck with critics and fans.
Anyways, that was my impression watching this. haha
