Overview
Giko Nokomura is a female student at Nightingale Academy, who carries around her very own chainsaw. One day she begins to be attacked by modified corpses created by one of her classmates, Nero Aoi . She tears her way through the corpses and busts into Nero’s hideout. Why is Nero so intent on attacking Giko?! The reason will shock you!After her battle with Nero, she encounters a new enemy. It’s the leader of the Nightingale Academy Student Council Guardians, Nemesis.

Geez do I love this series. This one gets a ratings downgrade bc it’s basically retelling the story that happens in the original 2016 movie albeit in a different way. Just doesn’t really add much new to it other than more Nero, the high schooler creating the cyborgs, backstory. But we got it in the original movie; she was bullied yet smart and created cyborgs to get back at her classmates.
This movie is just a lot of that. Didn’t really need more of it but okay. What we really needed is more Giko and her chainsaw. Nana Asakawa steps in and takes over Giko duties. She’s a lot of fun and perfect for the role.
This transfer looks amazing. So I know high quality versions exist of these films. Why won’t any boutique label pick them up? Needs the super set of all three films a la Machine Gun Girl.
Can’t believe there was not a “fan service” tag before now. “fan service” in the Japanese anime / live action definition.
