Viewing Notes

Definitely looks like a play adaptation with most of the movie confined to one location like a chamber piece as this family of the foreman waits for the execution of a woman convicted of murder. At midnight.

While this is happening his daughter is involved with a gangster portrayed by Humphrey Bogart, big shocker, i know. It’s decent and interesting where it goes by the end and how they twist things to fit a certain narrative, not much different today.
