Just like the previous movie (Crystal Plumage) in this double feature on The Last Drive-in, this would not be an ideal first time viewing. But for those that have seen the movie, this was a fun experience.
Again, it really doesn’t matter, the debate stuff but it makes for some good tv moments in the broadcast. also the group seemed to be having a little more fun during tihs movie with the dry humor and banter.
Surprised that Team Bava won bc it really felt like it was leaning towards Argento. As noted during Crystal Plumage, I now sit on the Argento side on the topic of giallo foundation. Claire said a few things that made a lot of sense regarding how giallo is defined and why that is. It doesn’t matter if folks are misinformed like Howarth said or if it is populist like Lars exclaimed.
Yet in the end it doesn’t really matter, does it.
