Viewing Notes

Miss Marple is back at it solving a series of murders at the Gallop Inn. I was very happy to find a few Warner Archive DVDs at my library from this short run of films starring Margaret Rutherford as Miss Marple (I believe she only did four films, two of which I had seen already).

This has the usual Agatha Christie formula of a suspicious death, an inheritance, and the surviving family all being suspects. Then they start getting killed off. I love that premise. I wish they made 20 of these films with Rutherford; she’s great as the old lady snooping around solving the mystery.
