Movie #7 of the Holiday Movie Mind Melter
First Japanese film of the marathon and definitely centered on Christmas. It’s fine. Kinda like a Hallmark film but very Japanese with cultural nuances. Has its moments.
For me the best thing was Godzilla dressed as Santa handing out balloons. That was a nice surprise. Ofc Joe Shishido even in a bit part will make me smile.
One of the main characters makes purin (flan) as an hobby and boy did I want some Japanese purin, a nightly treat from the Conbini.
