Viewing Notes
From one 10th anniversary screening (Your Name.) to the next. Crazy it’s been ten years already. This was the “remastered and revived” edition and yeah it looks and sounds incredible.
more positive on this revisit bc even tho I still hate the zombies I can appreciate the filmcraft. Really a modern marvel of filmmaking. Camera work, action sequences, emotional beats. It’s all there and it’s so well constructed.
Ma Dong-seok is so good and I forgot how good. He makes this movie.
director Yeon Sang-ho provided a short intro and said “stay after the credits for an exclusive interview with film critic Katie Rife.”
