Problems aside I mostly enjoyed this immediate sequel to Casino Royale. I love how it picks up right after the previous film ends. But as much as I dig Mathieu Amalric, he never seems threatening. He’s kinda weaksauce for a super villain. And his ultimate threat is also weak so the stakes never feel that imposing.
