Viewing Notes

Yimou Zhang’s follow-up to Hero is just as gorgeous esp. on the big screen but the story falters in places. Also the CG is noticeable. As much as the action sequences are often breathtaking, I felt more for the romance between the leads. Heartbreaking at times.
