My Japanese friend, Ayumi, loaned me this DVD to watch… sans subtitles. She said I wouldn’t have any problems following the story. I didn’t. And it’s such a sad story. Someday I’d like to revisit just to see what I missed. But I did talk to Ayumi afterwards and she filled in some of the story.
