Picked this up because after Flashback Weekend I’m determined to watch more Jeffrey Combs films and the remaining Re-Animator flicks. I had only seen the original a few times. This installment makes only logical sense as the story is a loose adaptation of Frankenstein’s monster with the Lovecraft twist. And it’s not a bad sequel despite lacking the better humor of the original. The creature designs and FX are pretty damn good. I may just buy the DVD so I can listen to the two commentary tracks.
