Overview
One rainy night in the Edo period, Kotono (a geisha) confronts samurais who killed her father. The samurais attack her one after another, but she fights hard against samurais with her sword. Kotono tries to chase the samurais who scramble to escape. Yet now three ninjas stand up against her. Kotono drops her sword by their wave of assaults. Can she beat them?

Viewing Notes
OK, so this isn’t a very good movie but I was very entertained for a few reasons. I appreciated that Go Ohara plays it straight with a solid revenge story with an attractive cast of characters. As linear as it gets almost like a live action video game w/each boss battle getting tougher for our geisha warrior. Instead of going perverse or exploitative it’s just a full-on action piece w/one sequence following another with some nice long takes. For that I give it a ratings boost. Also really dig the on location sets in Izu.
