Viewing Notes

I had not seen this in quote some time.

When it first hit theaters I watched it three separate times. I really enjoyed it, but I’m not sure why. I guess the chaotic nature, troubled production stories, and my naivety towards Zombie as a filmmaker all played a part.

Now, with a clearer head, I must say it’s not very good. More homage than a stand alone film, and more mixtape than actual film. The only real saving grace are a few choice scenes, the art direction and some of the mix tap aspects.
