Viewing Notes

Viewing House by the Cemetery had be wanting to revisit this bc clearly that film was an influence. Been way too long since I last saw this which I believe was a movie night in Batavia. Ofc TCM 2 and Next Generation are the biggest influences along with many other things from Robert’s hobbies and interests.

This movie is great. Just so many things thrown into the blender that’s partly music video and also horror comedy. Such a blast. Really surprised this never got rep screenings in Chicago. I think ppl were turned off on Zombie after his Halloween films and wouldn’t give him props for anything he did.

Had forgotten this was a seventies film which made me wonder if the sequels were seventies bc I don’t remember them that way but I suppose I should revisit them as well. Crazy that those movies were born from this one, which seems so different.
