Viewing Notes

Epic crime film. I just happened to notice it was leaving Netflix at the end of this month, so I clicked on it and couldn’t stop watching, even though I’ve seen it about a dozen times.

I love how the fate of even the minor characters can hit you so hard: Dennis Haysbert’s death, Pacino comforting the mother of the murdered prostitute, etc.

One of my top five favorite movies and one of my most watched movies dating back to even before logging stuff in Movielogr!

It seems to get better each time I watch it!

It really does. This is a remake of Mann’s L.A. Takedown, which was a made-for-TV movie that suffered from a lower budget and less star power. It’s an interesting watch because you can see the seed of something great in it.

Wow, I had no idea. Now I have to watch that.
