Overview
Inseparable best friends AJ and Moose decide to run the local pool’s snack shack after their plan to sell home-brewed beer goes down the drain. Things take a turn when they meet Brooke, an effortlessly cool lifeguard who puts their big plans, and friendship, at risk.

Viewing Notes
Starts of strong with one of my favorite songs - Harry Nilsson’s Jump Into the Fire. Continues on with an excellent soundtrack! Love the sense of time and place the movie portrays.
Just from the theatrical release poster I thought this was going to be like a Porky’s type movie - thankfully I was so wrong. This film reminded me of some of my faves - The Holdovers and The Tender Bar.
After a rough few weeks it was such a pleasure to stumble upon this film and so glad it was my first of 2025.

Yeah this movie really worked for me, esp. being set in that time period in the Midwest. Sorry you’ve had some rough weeks. Hope things only get better!
