Rian Johnson blurbed this the other day that piqued my interest. Before that I had no plans to see this. I’m so glad I did bc this is a very good coming of age flick set in 1991. Captures a lot of what it was like to be an enterprising yet dumbass teenager growing up in the Midwest at that time. Lots of moments hit real hard.
This is the better movie but it would pair well with Adventureland (2009).
My only very small criticism is some of the vernacular seems anachronistic but I could be wrong. I was a young person in 1991 but just beyond my teens years.
