I must’ve just been really burnt out on horror flicks when I watched this one last time, or I’m just in a better mindset for it. Or maybe having watched where Barker went with Lord of Illusions and Nightbreed I can appreciate his first outing a bit more.  It’s not that I dislike the first few Hellraiser flicks, but the series dovetails rapidly after the third film.
