Light years from Earth, 26 years after being abducted, Peter Quill finds himself the prime target of a manhunt after discovering an orb wanted by Ronan the Accuser. I just watched this not too long ago, so it was still very fresh in my mind, but I have to say I love the banter between the characters, we get some really out there and defined characters, a decent villain but a more interesting one that’s working for him, lots of fantastic effects, a great score and soundtrack, and it’s just a fun film. The film poster is supposed to be evocative of one of the original Star Wars posters and I do think it’s a fair comparison. This is Marvel’s foray into the space opera end of things with their shared MCU and it works pretty well.
