Five young New Yorkers throw their friend a going-away party the night that a monster the size of a skyscraper descends upon the city. Told from the point of view of their video camera, the film is a document of their attempt to survive the most surreal, horrifying event of their lives.

Another Blu I bought from Wally World specifically to watch with my kids. This is high on my youngest son’s list of favorite movies. He bugs me to watch it from time to time and has probably seen it six times now. This was our first time seeing it on Blu and my first viewing in a while. I have to say I like it even more now then I did when I first watched it (and I liked it then too). Holds up very well, though some of the destruction scenes remind me of 9/11 and can be uncomfortable to watch.
