This was a late addition to the schedule and I had to re-arrange my picks in order to fit it in, but so glad I did. The Devils was one of the festival highlights for me as this was a recently discovered uncut version and projected in 35mm (probably the only film of the entire fest to actually be on film).
Pat Healy happened to sit next to me and Jay and I talked movies, Chicago movie theaters and film history with him before and after the screening. It was a great conversation with a great actor who is obviously passionate about film.
Oliver Reed was excellent as the lead, the print was sumptuous, and the movie was crazy!
