Ok, it’s Jean Rollin so you know to expect some gratuitous sex and nudity; beyond that this is a rather dull stab (pun intended) at a more metaphysical take on the zombie genre. You could read some social commentary into the plot but I’m not sure that it was really the director’s intent.

I remember this as being a bit of a confusing mess of a movie. I should probably revisit (or visit for the first time) some of these Rollin films. I think I might have more appreciation for them in general now then I did before.
