Viewing Notes

An interesting take on the post-apocalyptic/dystopian society genre with a great international cast including the always awesome Ewen Bremner. If you start questioning things too much you may fall off it a bit, but as long as you’re along for the, er, ride, it’s pretty good. We all enjoyed it.

Jamie Bell continues to annoy me. I don’t know if it’s him or the characters he plays, but I always secretly pray for his characters’ demise in the movies I see him in. No exception here unfortunately.

The person who far and away steals the show is Tilda Swinton, who must’ve had a heap load of fun playing this character! She also brings some levity to the whole affair because you can’t help but laugh at some of her character’s mannerisms even while she’s doing some pretty vicious, nasty shit.

Was happy to see it playing anywhere near us, and at a multiplex to boot. I’d never been to the Westminster Promenade before. It’s a nice theater and pretty easy to get to from my place so I’ll probably catch other stuff here from time to time.
