Not a bad movie, though horribly melodramatic to the point where it drips off the screen at times, but certainly not what most people are probably expecting from a Jackie Chan film.
While there are some well-choreographed fight scenes, these aren’t the slapstick, how-did-they-do-that action scenes we’ve all become accustomed to seeing.
I’ve got no problem with that, or with this being a more serious movie than some previous installments. The story just felt overly contrived and, as mentioned, melodramatic.
