Still too slow and melodramatic but I did like this better on second viewing, especially when placed in context after NEW POLICE STORY, which is the worst of the bunch.

I do find it interesting that both LOCKDOWN and NEW POLICE STORY revolve around family, especially missing or abusive father figures.
