Perhaps my favorite of the (to date) three movies in the series. The contrast of martial arts, both for justice and honor, with the personal tragedy unfolding with his wife makes for a great story and really helps to give weight to the true character of Ip Man.
As usual, the “foreign devil” roles are heavy-handed and/or ham-fisted. Interesting to see Mike Tyson in the role of a heavy but ultimately not very satisfying.
Aside from that, I really enjoyed this one a lot. Lynn Hung is excellent once again as his wife; she’s amazingly beautiful in her period attire.
