Unnecessary sequel yet an entertaining sequel with Donnie Yen proving once again that he’s the best actor to portray this character. However, I nearly thought Yen would be upstaged by his onscreen nemesis, Max Zhang. A lot of terrific fight choreography between them both that hearkens back to the Once Upon a Time in China movies with the range of sequences and styles. Sure, the Mike Tyson bit is silly but doesn’t detract. Definitely the installment that tugs the hardest at the heartstrings.
