Viewing Notes

The final movie of my #bondonblu multi-week marathon of watching all the Bond films in sequential order, start to finish.

I’d place SPECTRE as my third favorite of the Craig era but the opening scene in Mexico City is one of the best cinematic moments in all of the Bond films. The camera work is outstanding.

While this has a finality about it which seems to signal the end of Craig’s portrayal of Bond, there are still some threads that will likely continue on into the next Bond film. Whatever they do after Craig is done, I hope they break convention and go with a person of color or a woman. Either Idris Elba or Charlize Theron would make a badass Bond, even if only for a quick two film series ala Dalton.
