Overview

A team of space marines known as the Rapid Response Tactical Squad, led by Sarge, is sent to a science facility on Mars after somebody reports a security breach. There, they learn that the alert came after a test subject, a mass murderer purposefully injected with alien DNA, broke free and began killing people. Dr. Grimm, who is related to team member Reaper, informs them all that the chromosome can mutate humans into monsters—and is highly infectious.

Has its goofy moments but overall I liked this. I totally skipped it back in the day. Since then Karl Urban, Dwayne Johnson and Rosamund Pike have all become stars in their own rights. Fun to see them, especially an early Johnson, before they were really known for much. I wish someone would turn Rosamund into a genuine action star. I’d pay money for that.

This was an early present for Gavin who’d been wanting to watch DOOM for months. I could never get the DVD from Netflix so I finally bought it for him.
