I thought I liked this one more than the first but upon rewatching them both on consecutive days, Fuqua’s first film is better. This one is certainly helped by most of the original cast (whomever didn’t die) returning for the sequel, but some of the action sequences felt a little too much like a video game.
Still a fun “turn your brain off and watch shit blow up” movie, dipped in some good old American nationalism in case you forgot which country is the coolest.
