Viewing Notes

Of all the Shaw Brothers players, I think Lo Lieh is my favorite. He’s great in the lead as the titular character, The Invincible Fist, but David Chiang steals the show as Lieh’s brother, doing most of the combat scenes including a pretty epic fight in an inn near the end of the film.

Almost entirely filmed on sets, there are some great set pieces here, including a number of battles in tall grass along the numerous paths and roads, which makes for some interesting cinematography.

I know this isn’t one of Cheh’s best films but I still liked this one a lot!
