Viewing Notes

The always great Lo Lieh gets a turn as the lead with up-and-coming David Chiang as his second in command in this interesting story about tracking down four bandits terrorizing the village and countryside with murderous robberies. The outdoor scenes set amongst tall reeds is an interesting change and Lieh does a great job in the lead role.

Chiang gets a great set piece battle of his own after he rescues an injured Lieh who is sidelined for the fight. It’s really fun watching Chiang do all the stuntwork for his sword fighting scenes as he’s so damn athletic.
