I wanted to revisit this after seeing the original in 70mm at The Music Box as part of Cinepocalypse. You really can’t compare the two since they’re so radically different from each other and great in their own right and time. Until BLADE RUNNER 2049 I think this film was the closest we’ve come to the production design of the original BLADE RUNNER. At least the Colony portions, which do a great job of blending great set design with CGI.
