Viewing Notes

I don’t think I’m asking for too much if I want the characters in the film to be believable enough to at least tenuously ground all the other crazy shit happening around them in the middle of a unrealistic plot. I mean, I wasn’t expecting realism or anything, just something to anchor to. NOPE!

By the end I was rooting for the fucking volcano.

The other thing that irked me was painting America as the bad guy. Not that we aren’t at times, just that South Korea is a sovereign state and shit wouldn’t go down like that. Maybe that was some pointed political commentary though, so I’m ok with that.

All that being said, a lot of the action was pretty fun and the special effects were really well done.
