A romance wrapped up in a crime/action film with some wonderfully different location shooting in parts of Hong Kong not usually shown in films from the period.
Chow Yun Fat is excellent as an altruistic, vulnerable cop with a soft spot for orphaned youngster Ka Ka and her aunt, played by Cherie Chung.
The action scenes are a little more sparse here but are frenetic and crazily violent when they do happen.
